There may be an additional travel fee depending on the time required to reach your location.
Payment for each session is made directly to us. If applicable, you are reimbursed directly by your insurance company. A receipt will be issued via email at the end of each session and when payment is completed. Payment is due within 48 hours after a session.
Services provided outside of regularly scheduled appointments such as letter or report writing, preparation of records or extended phone consult are prorated.
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for appointment cancellation or requests to reschedule to avoid incurring a cancellation fee. A fee of $60.00 will be charged for missed appointments and/or late cancellations.
Counselling and Psychotherapy services are not covered under OHIP however, they may be partially or fully covered through extended health care benefits. Please contact your insurance provider to find out if services are covered for Registered Social Worker.
Even if your insurance company does cover services, your company may not have added it yet to your coverage. Check with your HR department to make sure.
If you do not have extended health benefits, Social Work services may be claimed as a medical expense for income tax purposes. More information can be found on the Canada Revenue Agency website.
